Trump & cybersecurity policy: what to expect? – With the start of Trump’s second term, we can expect significant shifts in cybersecurity policies and broader tech-related issues. With a continued emphasis on national security and economic protectionism, the administration is likely to prioritize measures that address emerging cyber threats, secure critical infrastructure, and regulate technology sectors seen as pivotal to U.S. interests. While these expectations don't sound alarming, there's enough cause for concern. #us #cybersecuritypolicy #bigtech #

Joining forces for a more secure cyber world!
Over ons
CISO community Nederland provides a platform for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and cybersecurity professionals in the Netherlands. By bringing together the top talents in the sector, we will be able to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and work together with the ultimate goal of increasing cyber awareness and cyber resilience in a quick-moving digital world. The community aims to increase cybersecurity maturity in The Netherlands, reposition cybersecurity in the boardroom, contribute to knowledge development, stimulate the conversation between relevant stakeholders, and create a cybersecurity domain ecosystem that helps security providers shape their roadmaps. Dimitri van Zantvliet, Director of Cybersecurity and CISO at Dutch Railways, and Rob Beijleveld, CEO of ICT Media are the founders of CISO community Nederland. They noticed the CISO role has matured fast. Increasingly, CISOs report directly to the board. Cybersecurity has become Chefsache and CISOs deserve their own place. Therefore it makes sense that they are represented by an independent community that can act as a separate stakeholder. With support from ICT Media, workshops, roundtables, and events will be organized, like the annual CISODAY, held every Spring, where a CISO of the Year will be chosen. There will be a public content platform, cisocommunity.nl, and a member-only environment to exchange tips and knowledge securely.

Yesterday, we had an inspiring and engaging OT Security workshop as part of the CISO community Nederland. It was an afternoon filled with knowledge sharing, valuable discussions, and practical insights. The workshop started with Justin Broeders MA MBI (CISO at Ministerie van Financiën and board member of CISO Platform Nederland), who expertly set the scene for the session and gave the stage to Kirsten Dijkhuizen - Meeuwisse (CISO at Rijkswaterstaat) who shared how her team ensures the security of both OT and IT within her organization. Her keynote wrapped up with an insightful Q&A that sparked engaging conversations. The plenary part of the program concluded with a panel discussion between Godfried B., Jan Joost Bierhoff, Lilian K. and Kirsten Dijkhuizen - Meeuwisse that delivered some fascinating insights and lively debates. After a short networking break - where discussions continued with great energy - the group split into two for the breakout sessions: 🔹 Session 1: The challenges of connecting IT & OT, led by Suzanne R. MBA, from sponsored partner Accenture, and Jan Joost Bierhoff (CISO at The HEINEKEN Company). 🔹 Session 2: NIS2, Risk Management, and Compliance in OT Security, led by Jalal Bouhdada (DNV) and Justin Broeders MA MBI. Godfried B. was given the honour of leading the final discussion on building resilience and ensuring business continuity in OT environments. A huge thank you to all the speakers, participants, and partners who made this workshop a success. Together, we’re building a stronger, safer, and more resilient OT security landscape!
