During our celebration of 15 years of De Urbanisten this month, we reflected on five key highlights from 2014 to 2018, marking the five-year period when studies transformed into realized projects and wonderful collaborations took place. 2014: The New Meadowlands, the winning proposal for a flood-resilient green infrastructure for New Jersey Together with: U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), MIT Center for Advanced Urbanism, ZUS, Deltares, 75B 2015: Climate Proof ZoHo: As a field lab, Climate Proof ZoHo implements Rotterdam's Climate Adaptation Strategy on a district scale by combining climate adaptation, urban regeneration and local initiatives. Together with: Placemaking: STIPO, Rain(a)Way Garden: Fien Dekker and ZoHo Rainbarrel: Studio Bas Sala 2016: Watersquare Tiel: The second watersquare by De Urbanisten integrated into a schoolyard Together with: Gemeente Tiel, Gemeente Rotterdam Engineering Bureau and skate advise: LAGADO architects (Victor Verhagen) 2017: Rantzausgade: DE URBANISTEN redesigned Rantzausgade in Copenhagen as a vibrant, water-sensitive green urban street with calm traffic and an integrated stormwater management system. Together with: Områdefornyelse Nørrebro / Municipality of Copenhagen , HOFOR Fjernkøling A/S / NIRAS 2018: Deltares Campus: By redesigning the public space of Deltares Campus, we created an ecological and diverse working environment for one of the world’s leading institutes on hydrology and geology.
