𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. Yesterday's 🍴 event in Zurich was exemplary. It’s been 4 years since we onboarded our first clients in Switzerland, and it was wonderful to reconnect with our earliest Swiss clients. Reshem Herm-Singh and I were delighted to see so many busy professionals arriving with the punctuality one would expect from the Swiss ⌚ There was no more than a 10-minute gap between the arrival of the first and last attendees. Here are some takeaways from our stimulating discussions with Zurich’s M&A leaders: 1️⃣ Just like the rest of Europe, M&A in Switzerland was somewhat slow in H1. However, we must distinguish between the number of closed deals and the number of newly sourced deals. The deal pipeline has been well-stocked in recent months, and the number of closings has increased a lot since the summer. Yet, no matter how busy they are, dealmakers are always on the hunt for their next deal. 2️⃣ The rapid growth of the Dealsuite network in Italy and CEE over the past year hasn’t gone unnoticed in Switzerland. 👀 Now that Dealsuite is well-represented in neighbouring countries, it’s unlocking more and easier routes to cross-border deals! 3️⃣ Some members tend to underestimate the deal sizes available on Dealsuite. A fun moment during my conversation with our member Friedrich von Scanzoni: “Floyd, I’d like to see more deals with higher deal sizes.” Floyd: “What sizes are you looking for? Are you aware that 25% to 30% of all new deal flow consistently has revenues exceeding €10 million?” Friedrich: “Wow, that representation of all companies fits perfectly with my investment criteria.” 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳: Communicate more with our members about product and network facts. 📣   Dealsuite is more than just an online M&A network; it’s a bridge between the global M&A community and local markets 🌐. By fostering connections and facilitating domestic and cross-border transactions, Dealsuite offers a unique combination of international reach and local expertise to support M&A professionals in closing their next deal.
