  • Positive Outcomes with DEBRICHEM® and NPWT Combination ✨ A study revealed that combining DEBRICHEM® with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) can significantly accelerate healing in hard-to-heal leg and foot ulcers. The study confirmed that DEBRICHEM® effectively eradicated biofilm and infection, clearing the path for NPWT, leading to complete granulation in an average of just 13.2 days for ulcers that persisted for on average of 13 months (ranging from 3 to 48 months). Why Choose DEBRICHEM® with NPWT? This combination therapy not only enhances healing but also provides practical benefits, including: 📌 Fast Action: DEBRICHEM® disrupts biofilm and neutralizes bacterial load in just 60 seconds, facilitating rapid granulation tissue formation. 📌 Adaptability: DEBRICHEM® is suitable for any non-surgical infected wound*. 📌 Cost Reduction: Achieving full granulation in less than two weeks for wounds that have persisted for an average of 13 months significantly reduces the need for prolonged treatments, frequent clinic visits, and the use of antibiotics, ultimately lowering overall healthcare costs and improved resource efficiency. • Bioburden—composed of bacteria, biofilm, and other microorganisms—is a major factor in why some acute wounds fail to heal and become chronic. Here’s how it impacts the healing process: 🔹 Biofilm Formation: Bacteria create a protective shield, blocking antibiotics and immune defenses. 🔹 Prolonged Inflammation: Persistent bioburden causes chronic inflammation, disrupting normal healing. 🔹 Tissue Breakdown: Unchecked bacteria activity damages tissue, making recovery more difficult. Managing bioburden early is key to stopping wounds from becoming chronic. At DEBx Medical , we focus on innovative ways to target biofilm and tackle bioburden effectively. DEBRICHEM® offers a solution designed to support clinicians in overcoming this barrier to healing. By focusing on the root cause, we can improve outcomes for patients struggling with hard-to-heal wounds. 👉 Explore more about our approach: https://lnkd.in/epvMrRD5 📩 Questions? • Managing end-stage wounds in patients with severe underlying conditions like diabetes or vascular disease can feel impossible—especially when conventional treatments fail. In this case, a patient who had undergone multiple surgeries, including a leg amputation, faced pre-sepsis and severe arterial challenges. Despite attempts with NPWT, multiple debridements, skin grafts, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the wound remained unresponsive. Painful, frequent dressing changes only worsened the burden for both the patient and medical staff. DEBRICHEM® was introduced to stabilize the wound, create a dry wound surface, and eliminate the pain associated with dressing changes, making the wound easier to manage. This allowed care to continue at home, reducing hospital burden and significantly improving the patient’s quality of life. Read the full story in the article below and discover how DEBRICHEM® is proving its versatility in use, even in the most complex cases. 👉 Request a demonstration: https://lnkd.in/edCNu2xb #WoundCare #EndStageWounds #WoundHealing #biofilm #PatientCare #DEBRICHEM #DEBxMedical

  • Last October, Dr. Thomas Serena showcased the effectiveness of DEBRICHEM® in removing biofilm during his booth talk at the 6th Global Wound Conference in Malaysia. Using the MolecuLight Fluorescent Imaging device, he demonstrated that DEBRICHEM® can debride wounds in just 60 seconds, outperforming traditional methods like scalpels and antiseptics. As evidenced by imaging, DEBRICHEM® not only quickly removes bacteria from the wound bed but also prevents reformation of biofilm over time at follow-up visit. Unlike conventional methods that fail to remove the entire biofilm at once, research has shown that DEBRICHEM® removes up to 99,99% of bacteria in a single application, allowing the body's immune response to prevent biofilm regrowth. Dr. Serena shared successful case studies, including a toe amputation and venous ulcer, highlighting the product's ability to improve healing times and patient outcomes. He emphasized DEBRICHEM®'s superiority in preparing wounds for advanced therapies, making it an essential tool for every clinician in wound care. 🎥 Watch the Talk: DEBRICHEM®'s Effect Assessed with MolecuLight Fluorescent Imaging 🎥 Quicken your debridement procedures and save valuable time and costs. • An 83-year-old woman was battling a diabetic foot ulcer that simply wouldn’t heal. Her health challenges were significant: diabetes, the aftermath of an ischemic stroke, and being bedridden made her journey even harder. Despite undergoing an amputation and being treated with multiple antibiotics, the ulcer persisted, showing no signs of improvement. ▶ The Turning Point After months of frustration and unsuccessful treatments, the clinic introduced DEBRICHEM® to her care plan. In a single application, DEBRICHEM® directly targeted the biofilm and infection—two major obstacles that had been keeping her wound from healing. ▶ Remarkable Progress There was an immediate change to her wound bed visible. And within just three weeks, her wound started to show continuous improvement, something she and her care team hadn’t seen in a long time. Healthy tissue began forming, and the healing process was fully underway. ▶ A Full Recovery By 60 days, the progress was undeniable, with major new tissue growth covering the wound. And by the 9-month mark, her wound had completely healed—a result that once seemed impossible. This patient’s story highlights not only her resilience but also the impact of DEBRICHEM® in overcoming the most stubborn barriers to healing. It’s a reminder that the right tools can make all the difference in giving patients a renewed chance at recovery. ▶ Witness the Change 📸 Figure A: The starting point of the wound. • 🩹 Understanding Full-Thickness Wounds When wounds penetrate through all layers of the skin, they present a unique set of challenges. These full-thickness wounds often extend to muscle, bone, or other underlying structures, making them particularly difficult to heal. Why are these wounds so challenging? 🔹 Increased Risk of Infection: With deeper exposure, these wounds are more vulnerable to biofilm and bacteria. 🔹 Delayed Healing: The body struggles to regenerate tissue and close wounds that extend beyond the dermis. 🔹 Complex Care Needs: Full-thickness wounds often require a combination of advanced treatments and wound management protocols. To address these complex care needs, clinicians rely on a combination of advanced tools. DEBRICHEM® offers a powerful chemical debridement solution to tackle biofilm and infection in just 60 seconds. DEBRICHEM® creates the optimal wound bed for subsequent therapies like NPWT (Negative Pressure Wound Therapy) and skin grafting. These treatments become far more effective once biofilm has been properly addressed. At DEBx Medical , we’re proud to provide solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing protocols, empowering clinicians to achieve better outcomes for even the most complex wounds. 👉 Learn more about our approach: https://lnkd.in/epvMrRD5 📩 Have questions? • The Essential Role of Collagen in Wound Healing 🩹✨ Collagen, a key protein in the extracellular matrix, is vital for the structure and strength of our skin, joints, and bones. Its role in wound healing is equally crucial, influencing every stage of the process. Here’s how collagen supports healing: 📌 Early Stages: Fibroblasts produce Collagen III, which is initially laid down in the wound to provide a temporary framework. 📌 Later Stages: Collagen I, the dominant form in healthy skin, gradually replaces Collagen III to strengthen the repaired tissue. 📌 Long-Term Remodeling: Over months, collagen reorganizes, increasing the tensile strength of healed skin to 80–85% of its original strength if the healing process is uninterrupted. Collagen also attracts essential cells like fibroblasts and keratinocytes to the wound, supporting critical processes such as: ➡️ Debridement: Clearing out dead tissue. ➡️ Angiogenesis: Forming new blood vessels. ➡️ Re-epithelialization: Restoring the skin’s surface. Understanding collagen’s complex roles can help clinicians optimize wound care strategies for better outcomes.
