Over ons

🚀 The latest release of BOSfluids enhances special flow elements with new capabilities. The Tank element now allows users to set a maximum liquid height. Once this threshold is surpassed, the tank behaves as if it’s overflowing, functioning as a fixed-pressure boundary condition. Additionally, the Air Valve and Deluge Nozzle elements have been improved to support specified pressure boundary conditions at their open-end nodes. This means you can now define inlet/outlet pressures that differ from ambient pressure, which is valuable for simulating blow-down and tube rupture scenarios, as well as vacuum wastewater disposal systems. We've improved the harmonic flow solver in BOSpulse, significantly enhancing its accuracy to match that of the transient solver. This means pulsation analyses can be done much faster without sacrificing precision. By adopting a non-linear solution method, the harmonic solver now ensures friction losses in both frequency and time domains are nearly identical, with only a few percent difference in results. As a result, the harmonic solver is now the default for API 618 and API 674 analyses. The latest update to BOSfluids 7.2 extends the capabilities of the components database, making it easier to manage and share element and node definitions across projects. Users can now store flow equipment specs like valves and pumps, define pipe schedules, and automatically apply them to new elements, minimizing the need for repeated entries. This update helps streamline piping model creation while reducing potential for errors.
