Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) in UAE sits at the heart of the energy corridor that stretches from the East of the Suez Canal to Asia and has a vast array of capabilities, including deep-water port, state-of-the-art infrastructure and vast storage facilities. Fujairah is a critical hub for oil trading and storage in the Middle East. FOIZ flanks the Port of Fujairah on the north and west and currently occupies an area of about 12.8 million square meters. FOIZ hosts the Middle East’s largest commercial storage capacity for refined oil products. The current storage capacity of all type of oil products is in the region of 70 million barrels. The storage capacity of FOIZ continues to grow and given the foreseeable projects we are confident that FOIZ will be one of the largest commercial storages for hydrocarbons in the world. As of now, FOIZ hosts eighteen oil terminals including prestigious, national and international oil companies. EnviTech Middle East is previliged to have been invited by Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) UAE to train the terminal operators on Emissions Control and Storage Tank Safety on August 07, 2024. CEO EnviTech Robin Essenius, MBA in his presentation shared the knowledge of emission sciences and how the construction of storage tank, design choices of emission control equipment like internal floating roofs and seals can effect the operational losses and environmental impact of the terminal. In the panel discussion he emphasized the need to set the emissions benchmark for each terminal to measure their performance.
