𝗡𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗸𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁 64 bedrijven en (kennis)organisaties overhandigen hun semicon innovatieprogramma aan minister Dirk Beljaarts van Ministry of Economic Affairs. Hiermee wil de sector de wereldwijde sterke positie van Nederland in semicon versterken. De internationale ontwikkelingen in de halfgeleider industrie gaan immers razendsnel. Het programma richt zich op de drie segmenten uit de semicon waardeketen waarin Nederland internationaal uitblinkt: 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘄, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴. In dit innovatieprogramma zijn projecten ontwikkeld die bijdragen aan 𝗱𝘂𝘂𝗿𝘇𝗮𝗮𝗺𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗱, 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲̈𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲-𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲. Zo kunnen ontwerpmethodes voor chips en machines worden verbeterd die de productiviteit van de machines vergroten en de toenemende complexiteit beheersbaar maken. Hierdoor kan meer worden gedaan met minder mensen. Daarnaast wordt gewerkt aan sector-brede samenwerking om materiaalgebruik (PFAS bijvoorbeeld) terug te dringen en recycling te vereenvoudigen. Minister Beljaarts bedankte de aanwezigen voor dit programma en de getoonde saamhorigheid in deze belangrijke sector voor Nederland, zeker in de huidige tijd en gaf aan zich hard te zullen gaan maken voor het vervolg.
