The past few months, we've been working with the university council on various topics. 🤝 In this post, we'll take you through some of the developments. 📈 Sustainability remains crucial, with insights from the Industry Engagement Monitor in September. 🌱 As of January 1st, disposable cups won't be available at coffee corners on campus. The discount on vegan meals at Vitam restaurants will continue with a slightly smaller discount. 🍃 The campus is set for developments and renovations. The Tinbergen building's renovation enters a new phase, with changes to the Vitam restaurant and the council's office. 🏢 The council's office will move to Van Der Goot Building (M). 💼 The university faces financial challenges and uncertainties; cost-cutting measures are on the horizon. 📉 Safety and wellbeing are paramount, with ongoing discussions about campus safety related to the Palestine-Israel situation. 🌍 Inclusivity and safety are focal points, with discussions on institutional ties and campus safety. The council's letter of advice covers suggestions for improvement regarding the Action Plan for Studying with a Functional Impairment and the employee survey. 📝 Other topics discussed include: - Policy framework for events (with external speakers) - Recorded lectures - Gender-neutral toilets on campus - Improving participation at our university - Smoking on campus 🚭 Our meetings are open to the public, and the agenda can be viewed at eur.my-meeting.nl.
