International businesses 🏭 are a key-driver for the Dutch 🇳🇱 economy, as they contribute strongly to job creation and R&D investments. Therefore, Oost NL organised together with EACC NL (European American Chamber of Commerce Netherlands) on February 6, two strategic roundtables with the regional branches of a dozen US companies 🇺🇸 in Overijssel. 📍We visited the Enschede region (Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente) and the Zwolle region (Polymer Science Park). ✅ Together with EACC-members Roos Seesing (Taylor Wessing Benelux), Daniel Klein Velderman (Archipel Tax Advice), Nihat Kurt (Expat Management Group) and Bart Brinkman (Briddge Legal & Finance), we discussed among others the challenges of local leadership, communicational issues, cultural differences, talent retention and the transatlantic relationship. Welcome to EACC NL (European American Chamber of Commerce Netherlands). We are a private, independent non-profit organization and part of a dynamic chapter network with a combined membership of over 750 member-companies, reaching more than 10,000 executives in the U.S. and across Europe. EACC NL is the Dutch chapter of EACC based in Amsterdam and founded in June 2019 by AKD, Deloitte, Gateway Business Support, Loyens & Loeff, Lucas Bols and NIPA Capital. Our goal is to stimulate business development, and to facilitate networking and building relationships between European and American businesses and professional organizations. The EACC has chapters in Paris, New York, Amsterdam, Cincinnati, Brussels (rep. office), Miami, Lyon, the Carolinas (Greenville, SC), Princeton NJ, and Washington is on the way.
