🌍 Webinar Recap: Frostbite Management and Prevention ❄️ We recently hosted an insightful webinar with the European Burn Association, focusing on the critical topic of frostbite. With expert speakers from around the globe, we delved into both the similarities and disparities in frostbite cases and treatments. Key take aways: • Prevention and early management are key • We need fast and intense therapy: which are essential for improving patient outcomes • Early identification is crucial: immediate action to prevent further cold exposure • Rewarm with water (38-40 C) as soon as possible:do rapid rewarming to mitigate damage • For severity assessment: utilize validated scales for accurate assessment. We focused on prevention, medical therapy, surgical approaches, wound management, and comprehensive care strategies.
