Tecpetrol advances its Energy Transition with the completion of the Vientos de Olavarría Wind Farm On February 18, together with Ricardo Markous, CEO, and Ricardo Ferreiro, President of E&P, we visited the Vientos de Olavarría Wind Farm to celebrate a key milestone: the installation of its 22nd and final wind turbine, marking the project’s full completion. Tecpetrol led the full development of this project for Ternium, contributing to every phase, from origination to execution. This wind farm is one of three developed in Argentina and will enable the Grupo Techint to cover nearly 100% of its electricity needs with renewable energy in the country. A key highlight of this achievement is the collaboration and synergies between Ternium, Tecpetrol, and Exiros, which were essential in overcoming challenges during construction. With this milestone, we take an important step toward decarbonizing the Group operations. This project not only reinforces Tecpetrol’s expertise in renewable energy but also positions us for new opportunities in Latin America. We remain committed to sustainable energy solutions, expanding our know-how into the region.

#ExperienceAbroad: Luiz Basso’s journey in Colombia  👋 Meet Luiz Felippe Basso! Senior Buyer from Brazil at Metallic Load Operation (MLO), who recently completed his Experience Abroad in Colombia. Over three months, he immersed himself in the ferrous scrap market, engaging with suppliers, securing purchasing volumes, and contributing to strategic projects. ✨ What he learned: His work on tracking losses and returns in scrap loads contributed to a global initiative for Ternium and Tenaris plants, reinforcing the importance of teamwork and data-driven decision-making. 🚀 The impact: “This experience helped me grow both professionally and personally. I gained firsthand market knowledge, expanded my network, and even picked up some Spanish—including a few jokes! Meet Ana Laura Fiad: Senior Material Planner with a passion for analog photography! 📸   Based in Argentina, Ana plays a key role in Exiros’ Purchasing Planning, managing MRO materials across Mexico, the USA, Canada, and Romania. Her role requires agility and problem-solving to meet the fast-paced demands of the business.   #BeyondTheDesk, Ana immerses herself in the world of analog photography. Developing her own black and white and color film in a darkroom, she finds creativity, patience, and balance in this meticulous art. “Photography is the opposite of my day to day work, it forces me to slow down and appreciate the process,” Ana shares.
