One more step towards circularity! On our latest Footwear Talk at #Lineapelle - Shoes are Forever - we had the privilege of discussing one of the most pressing topics in the industry: footwear circularity. Joined by experts Danny Pormes from FastFeetGrinded, Hélder Maias from #Forever, and Nancy Oliveira from Portugal Production, we explored the journey toward a future where shoes never truly reach the end of their lifecycle. Circularity is more than just a concept—it’s a commitment that requires innovation, collaboration, and a fresh perspective on design, production, and material reuse. Joining the Movement: Meet Peter Grusz! We’re excited to welcome Peter as our new International Sales Manager at FastFeetGrinded! With years of experience in circular solutions for footwear collection and recycling, Peter brings invaluable expertise to our team. During his time at the Circular Footwear Alliance Foundation (CFA), he played a key role in collecting footwear and ensuring it reached the right recycling partners. Now, he takes the next step: bringing high-quality recycled materials back into the industry.   From collection to transformation, Peter has seen firsthand how crucial closed-loop solutions are in making circularity work. His motivation? "Every product has a story to tell – why let it end in a landfill instead of continuing in a new chapter? FastFeetGrinded wij zijn ontzettend trots om jullie partner te zijn. Blue LOOP Originals heeft de Woolboots bedacht en maakt ze ook voor ons. Bij de Mulders duurzame producten te verkopen, en goed te onderhouden zodat ze langer meegaan en door schoenen in te zamelen voor recycling. Zodat de woolboot in jouw gewenste kleur en maat gemaakt kan worden zonder overproductie. Laten wij hopen dat VNG (Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten) ook heeft gekeken en morgen belt met hun leden om te vragen waar de ingezamelde schoenen terecht komen. De Gemeente Amsterdam heeft al interesse getoond om werk te gaan maken om schoenen te recyclen. Wij hopen dat meer gemeenten zich bij ons collectief aansluiten, om dit probleem samen op te pakken.
