🌊 Did you know that #G20 countries account for more than 80% of the global gross domestic product, three quarters of global trade, and two-thirds of the world’s population? They also account for nearly half of the world’s coastline and approximately 76% of global carbon dioxide emissions, so there is a huge opportunity and responsibility for G20 members to drive economic prosperity, climate action and security through ocean stewardship. This past weekend, we proudly participated in the G20 Summit 🏛️ as part of #Oceans20, the official ocean agenda for G20 governments. Oceans20 just issued their inaugural communiqué, urging G20 leaders to prioritise the ocean in their climate, development, and trade agendas. We had the privilege of contributing to these recommendations and participating in the summit as a member of the UN Global Compact Ocean Leaders Group. We invite you to read and share the communiqué. Today, Lottie's got tales from the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan! Her time in the UAE was packed with hands-on learning!
