🌟 Future Energy Leaders Driving Change Last week, our members Odinakachi Umunna, Damilola Adeyanju, Rahul Mishra, and Ivo Wakounig had the privilege of meeting with Vopak, a valued member of the World Energy Council Netherlands, at their headquarters in Rotterdam. We were warmly welcomed by Marcel van de Kar, Ozge Aygen, Anisha Khanna, Martijn Krijgsman, Maarten Vaags, and Fatjona Topciu, whose insights made this collaboration truly inspiring. As a company with over 400 years of legacy in storing diverse products, Vopak plays a pivotal role in the energy transition. During our workshop, we explored: ✨ How humanizing energy can guide Vopak’s transition process. ✨ The critical role of intergenerational collaboration in shaping the future. ✨ Innovative solutions which a storage company can develop to lead in sustainability. Today we had a member workshop about the Energy Trilemma Index of the World Energy Council. We discussed how the Trilemma has evolved since its inception more than 20 years ago and how energy transitions can be evaluated and tracked using the framework. Jim Rijks (金萊克) gave us a sneak peak into the commentary of the Dutch Trilemma results, to be published early next year. Finally, we discussed our Trilemma dissemination strategy for 2025. We are currently collecting best practices and examples of how the Trilemma Index & Framework can be used to advance faster, fairer, and further energy transitions, so get in touch if you have ideas to share!
