CONCEPT HEEMSKERK CITY OFFICE
We proudly designed the interior for Heemskerk City Office, transforming it into a vibrant, healthy, and connected work environment. In this post, we elaborate on the design concept that guided this transformation.
At the heart of the building is the central reception desk, uniting the library, culture house, and municipal offices into one cohesive hub. From the dynamic network café on the ground floor to the flexible living room on the first floor, the design encourages collaboration, community, and focus.
The layout flows seamlessly from vibrant to tranquil: bustling meeting spaces give way to private areas towards the perimeter, supporting a wide range of activities.
Colour plays a pivotal role in shaping this journey:
🟫 Terracotta energizes dynamic meeting points
🟡 Yellow fosters casual encounters
🍀 Mint soothes in quieter, private spaces
This project reflects a new way of working—activity-based, flexible, inviting, and sustainable.
