Heimdallr is established in 2016 by cyber security experts Mike Stet and Cees Berrens. Both are working for many years in the cybersecurity landscape with a focus on defending and resilience. The company name Heimdallr is not randomly choosen. Heimdallr is a figure from Norse mythology who is considered to be the watchman of the gods. He is described as having keen senses, especially his hearing and sight, and is said to be able to hear the grass grow and see a hundred miles away even in the dark of night. This is exactly what the Heimdallr company stands for; focus, thinking ahead and sharp in protecting our customers. The Heimdallr company is based on the values of equality, respect, sustainability and loyalty to our customers and employees. These values form the basis of our actions and business operation. ❓ Regelmatig krijg ik de vraag; hoe sta ik er voor met mijn cyberveiligheid? Hoe volwassen is mijn organisatie hier in? In de hedendaagse digitale wereld is cyberveiligheid een essentiële pijler van elke organisatie. Het vaststellen en verbeteren van het volwassenheidsniveau van je digitale beveiliging kan overweldigend lijken, maar met het NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) krijg je een gestructureerd en effectief hulpmiddel in handen. 🤔 Wat is het NIST Cybersecurity Framework? Het National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) heeft het Cybersecurity Framework ontwikkeld om organisaties te helpen bij het bepalen van cybersecurityrisico's. Het framework bestaat uit vijf kernfuncties: Identificeren, Beschermen, Detecteren, Reageren, en Herstellen. Iedere functie speelt een cruciale rol in het opbouwen van een robuuste cyberbeveiligingsstrategie. 1️⃣ Identificeren De eerste stap in het evalueren van je cybersecurity volwassenheidsniveau is het begrijpen van je huidige situatie. Identificeer cruciale systemen, assets, data en capabilities. Door een duidelijk beeld te krijgen van je digitale landschap, kun je bedreigingen en kwetsbaarheden effectiever beheren. 2️⃣ Beschermen Na de identificatie is de volgende stap het implementeren van beschermingsmaatregelen. Dit kan variëren van toegangscontrole en gegevensbescherming tot personeelstraining. Door het versterken van je weerbaarheid verbeter je de algehele beveiligingshouding van je organisatie. 3️⃣ Detecteren Het vermogen om inbreuken vroegtijdig te detecteren is cruciaal. Implementeer monitoring systemen en zorg voor continue bewaking om afwijkingen in real-time te identificeren. Een snel detectiesysteem helpt om schadebeperking te versnellen en risico’s te minimaliseren. Het de ogen en oren van je weerbaarheid. 4️⃣ Reageren Zelfs met robuuste maatregelen blijft een reactieplan essentieel. Ontwikkel en test een responsstrategie om snel en doeltreffend te reageren op incidenten. Dit helpt niet alleen bij het beheersen van de situatie, maar versterkt ook het vertrouwen van belanghebbenden. 5️⃣ Herstellen Tot slot, zorg voor herstelplannen om de normale bedrijfsvoering snel te hervatten na een incident. Leer van de inbreuken en pas je strategie aan om toekomstige risico’s te verminderen. 6️⃣ Waarom het NIST CSF? Het NIST CSF biedt niet alleen een gestandaardiseerde benadering om cyberveiligheid te verbeteren, maar helpt ook bij het bepalen van verbeterpunten en investeringsprioriteiten. Het framework is flexibel en schaalbaar, waardoor het geschikt is voor organisaties van elke omvang. Door het volwassenheidsniveau van je digitale beveiliging vast te stellen en te verbeteren met behulp van het NIST Cybersecurity Framework, zet je een belangrijke stap richting een veiligere digitale toekomst.
