🌍 Hendrix Genetics Chile successfully ships eggs for innovative project in South Korea🐟 We are pleased to share that we have successfully completed the delivery of eggs to South Korea as part of an innovative project to boost Atlantic Salmon production in the country. This first shipment came about through a key contact with Mr. Woo-Jai Lee, PhD, founder and CEO of Blugen Inc , a leading aquaculture company in Korea. This project stems from an initiative of the South Korean government to promote salmon production, given the high consumption of this species in the country (approximately 60,000 tons per year). Since this is a new species for the region, some trial cycles were agreed upon, this being the first of them. The interest in our eggs was driven by the global reputation of Hendrix Genetics and the outstanding characteristics of our products, such as high growth rate and minimal risk of early maturity, which is especially crucial for salmon farming in RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems). The final destination of the eggs was the Gangwon Provincial Cold-water Fishery Resources Center, where the initial phase of this pioneering project will be carried out. We are excited to be part of this breakthrough in South Korean aquaculture and look forward to the results of this first trial.
