This week, we had a full house as the Singaporean teams landed in the Netherlands for the Deep-Tech Expansion Program! 🇸🇬➡️🇳🇱 Despite adapting the harsh Dutch weather, they wasted no time making connections. Netherlands Enterprise Agency shared key insights on launching and scaling a deep-tech business in Europe, and between networking events and dinners, Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM) gave them a proper introduction to the ecosystem. Demcon, also added value to the program when the ventures got the chance to visit their offices in Best, discussion points included trends in a.o. medical developments and AI. Because let’s be honest, navigating a new market (and its investors) takes the right support! And of course, what’s an immersion without a pitch? The teams got exclusive access to our program partners, KPMG, PwC, and EP&C Patent Attorneys, for private office hours, where they could address all their questions one by one. Gray Matter Solutions combines neuroscientific cognitive games with Machine Learning to detect and classify Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), validated against neuroimaging and biomarkers. It is a spin-off from NTU Singapore’s Dementia Research Centre (Singapore). Gray Matter’s vision is to enable early detection and personalized interventions for MCI all across the globe. Today, we are thrilled to share that one of our ventures, originating from the very early days of HighTechXL, has reached THE MILESTONE: It has been acquired by a global leader, aiming  to take its innovation even further and make real impact.   The German based company, SICK Sensor Intelligence, an international provider of sensor-based automation solutions, announced today the acquisition of the Dutch technology company Accerion.   Accerion has developed a positioning technology which can be integrated into automated vehicles and mobile robots.  Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) are primarily used in logistics and manufacturing thanks to their higher efficiency. With the acquisition of the tech startup, customers will benefit from a complete solution portfolio of positioning solutions from SICK. This achievement is highlighting the success of our venture-building journey.
