Last week, we had the privilege of hosting a group of 35 international participants involved in their home countries’ Phytosanitary Services. Organized by Naktuinbouw, this diverse group—comprising inspectors, assistants, and managers—visited as part of a specialized training in the Netherlands focused on plant health and traceability in the horticultural chain. Over three intensive days, the training, led by the Bloembollenkeuringsdienst BKD and Naktuinbouw, covered key topics related to the new EU plant passport regulations. The participants engaged in sessions that provided essential insights into the plant movement regime within the EU, with a focus on improving traceability processes across the chain to ensure rapid response in case of disease outbreaks. 🌍 This initiative aimed to: - Foster a unified understanding of plant health rules across EU Member States. - Enhance expertise in implementing the new Plant Health Regulation (PHR) - Encourage knowledge-sharing and best practices for plant health control We’re grateful to have been part of this and look forward to seeing how these advancements will strengthen the industry.
