History The hotel exists since 1628, then known as Huys In De Swaen which means that the hotel is over 400 years old. At that time, De Zwaan was an inn and brewery. Over the years the Swan was a meeting place. A place from which the region can be explored. A resting place for a good night's sleep. A place for refreshment, the Brasserie can accommodate 36 guests. Let's go back to the 18th century, when the decay deployment by military occupation and heavy war estimates. After 1830 turns the tide and the construction of the railway Venlo-Nijmegen region gets an economic boost. Remarkable is the enormous growth of the sheep trade.
