At ICON Yachts, we are a highly specialised shipyard for yacht conversion and refit projects, with an established leadership position in the field of explorer yachts and purpose-built vessels.
We embark on journeys beyond the ordinary, where exploration, scientific research and sustainability converge to redefine the meaning of purpose-built yachting.
Our identity is built on three pillars that define who we are and guide our every endeavour: exploration, philanthropy and sustainability.
These pillars form the very essence of our purpose-built shipyard and shape our mission to create exceptional vessels that will forever provide unforgettable experiences.

In the Refit Issue of The Superyacht Group, our CEO, Tony Gale, shares his thoughts on the pivotal role of refits in the future of the yachting industry.
The article highlights the challenges, opportunities, and emerging trends identified by key industry leaders.
We want to thank the amazing team at The Superyacht Group, in particular Conor Feasey, Eliott Simcock, and Felicity Salmon, for their work and professionalism.
Diving into the complexities of Conversions.
A huge thank you to Charlotte Hogarth-Jones for her work and dedication in navigating this important area of the industry!
I went deep for this feature on refit conversions, and I have to say, I'm now a pretty big advocate for them. With all the wastage in the yachting industry, doesn't it make more sense to use a tried-and-tested hull, give it a new life, and turn it into something totally unique, rather than start from square one? Particularly when looking at explorer type vessels.
Of course, a tight grip on the budget is key - sometimes these projects just don't stack up financially - and there has to be some compromise when it comes to the look and feel of the end result. Some will say, "that's not a superyacht..." Still, perhaps some food for thought... what do you think?

“The pleasure we take from the sea could actually open a door to a more purposeful journey – a journey that can save us. Because we depend on the ocean for our oxygen, our climate, our food, and even the promise of pharmaceuticals.”
Micca Ferrero, owner of ICON Yachts; Nick Davies, MD of Cookson Adventures; Jay Wade, chairman of the The International SeaKeepers Society; and Fabien Cousteau, founder of Proteus Ocean Group; came together to discuss the benefits of conserving the ocean, while empowering scientific research.
This partnership explored the future of marine exploration at our ICONversation event, held at Hotel de Paris at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show S.A.M.
Focusing on the scientific advancements that can come with learning more about our oceans, topics ranged from how we can more effectively use submersibles to how we will soon be able to travel to and research our ocean’s depths through the building of underwater habitats.
Throughout, the panel talked about the value of motivating people to protect and cherish these fragile environments. Together, we seek to inhabit the intersection of science, conservation, and tourism, with the aim of safeguarding our oceans for future generations.
