Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent poll (https://lnkd.in/eRBJwKvy) on imec's global collaboration programs! The answer is 🥁🥁🥁... 2002! While imec has been investing in global collaboration since its foundation in 1984, 2002 marked a significant milestone with the launch of our Industrial Affiliation Program (IIAP). The IIAP program fostered collaborative research while safeguarding IP and enabling technology transfer across partners. This evolved into today’s Core Partner Program, offering exclusive R&D partnerships across the entire semiconductor value chain, including the world’s major foundries, IDMs, fabless and fablite companies, material and tool suppliers, EDA companies and application developers. As we celebrate 40 years of innovation, we’re proud of the milestones and partnerships that define our journey. Stay tuned for more highlights from our four decades of collaboration! #imec40years #innoversary

The latest paper of our team is published: Modeling Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy Using Time-Dependent Finite Element Method It presents the added value of time dependent Comsol modeling in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, providing a tool for understanding ion transport dynamics and transient phenomena at the electrode–electrolyte interface. It shows a good agreement between the model and experimental data. Interesting findings are, amongst others, that the response to the first cycle of an applied frequency can deviate from subsequent cycles, and how the responses can be impacted by the applied amplitude. Thank you Yawar Abbas, Alwin Verschueren, Marcel Zevenbergen and Laura van Smeden for your hard work on bringing this work together! 🌍 At imec the Netherlands, we’re committed to giving back to the community, and this year, in collaboration with Brainport voor Elkaar, we’ve had the chance to engage in several impactful initiatives. From working outdoors at Food Farm and joining a street tour with formerly homeless people, to celebrating Halloween with the elderly and exploring the DAF Museum with newcomers. We also provided hands-on support at Severinus and organized a high tea for seniors. These experiences have not only made a difference in the lives of others but have also deepened our connection as a team. Here’s to continuing our journey of making meaningful contributions together! 💙 #GivingBack #imecNL #BrainportVoorElkaar
