🧬 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡: 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 A leaked draft of Horizon Europe’s Cluster 1 (Health Research) Work Programme for 2025-2027 reveals an ambitious agenda with increased funding and a strong focus on digital transformation, equitable healthcare, and disease prevention. 🔹 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞: After 2024’s cuts, €803M is allocated for 2025, with a €62M increase. 🔹 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬: Expanded support for habilitation & rehabilitation research, with €40M dedicated to intellectual disabilities. 🔹 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬: AI-driven pandemic preparedness, phage therapy for antibiotic resistance, and the European Partnership for Brain Health (€150M). 🔹 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡: A €220M investment in digital transformation, including biotech and genomic cell therapies (€80M). Most calls are set to open in May 2025, with final details expected in April. 📹 Last plenary session of the #ECSBrokerageEvent with a presentation on Framework Partnership Agreements (FPA) and Specific Grant agreements (SGA). Cecilia González Álvarez explained how these agreements work and their importance to implement actions for quantum chips technology. 💡
