Which lubricants are best to minimize static bleeding? Static bleeding occurs when the liquid components of a lubricant separate from the thickener or additives. This can lead to severe equipment issues. To minimize static bleeding, selecting high-quality lubricants with specific characteristics to avoid phase separation is essential. Here’s what to look for: • Greases with high-stability thickeners: Lithium-based, lithium-complex, and calcium-complex greases offer excellent resistance to oil separation. • Lubricants with anti-wear additives and stabilizers: Antioxidant additives and thickening agents help maintain lubricant stability. • Synthetic lubricants: POE and PAO-based lubricants provide superior thermal and chemical stability. • High-viscosity lubricants: Thicker lubricants reduce the risk of phase separation. • Polymer-based greases: Polymer thickeners enhance oil retention and stability. • Water-resistant greases: Calcium- or aluminium-soap greases are ideal for humid environments. Similarly, we can provide you with cost saving ecological cleaners. Unlike conventional petrochemical lubricants, Interflon products are fortified with high performance additives and MicPol® particles. These particles form a solid ultra thin lubrication film that provides for a very long lasting lubrication film at the lowest friction. In this way, Interflon lubricants reduce friction and wear much better than conventional lubricants, in particular, in adverse conditions of extreme loads, high and low temperatures, strong contamination and in high water wash areas. Interflon customers experience considerably lower lubrication labour cost and lubricant consumption rates. They prolong the service life of their critical components bringing down-time to a minimum, reduce power consumption and CO2 emissions and improve equipment utilization rates and reliability at the same time.

Lubricating washer machines in the beverage industry is quite a challenge. These machines operate in demanding environments, facing workload variations, constant exposure to corrosive and abrasive liquids, high temperatures, and contamination. One of our customers was experiencing frequent bearing failures. The grease they used emulsified with process water, leading to excessive grease usage. The bearings needed to be replaced six times a year, halting the production line. By switching to Interflon Grease LS2, a heavy-duty grease with exceptional water resistance, they achieved significant improvements: 👉 Extended lubrication intervals: from 5 days to 120 days 👉 Zero bearing replacements: in the first year of use 👉 Reduced lubricant consumption: by 95%, from 414 litres per year to 23 litres per year For more examples of how Interflon solutions can optimize your beverage production processes, visit our Beverage pages: https://lnkd.in/eUs9pk-5 ✉ info@interflon.com #Interflon #IndustrialLubrication #BeverageIndustry #Maintenance

Static bleeding occurs when the liquid component of a lubricant, such as oil or grease, separates from the thickener or additives. This separation can lead to serious equipment issues, including increased wear, overheating, and reduced lifespan. 💡Here are 7 preventive strategies to minimize the risk of static bleeding: • Choose the right lubricant: Select a lubricant formulated to resist phase separation. • Verify thickener quality: Opt for lubricants with stable thickener systems. • Optimize storage conditions: Store lubricants in cool, dry areas. • Avoid contamination: Keep lubrication points and equipment clean. • Control operating conditions: Monitor temperature, pressure, and mechanical loads. • Regular replacement and maintenance: Establish a maintenance schedule. • Regular lubricant testing: Analyse lubricants used to assess their quality. By implementing these strategies, you can ensure the longevity of your equipment. Debunking the myth: Mineral vs. synthetic oils A common misconception about lubricants is that synthetic oils are inherently superior to mineral oils. While synthetic oils offer certain advantages, high-quality mineral oils can, under specific conditions, provide exceptional performance. A key factor in this is the pressure-viscosity coefficient. This coefficient measures how a lubricant's viscosity changes with increasing pressure. Mineral oils can exhibit a temporary increase in viscosity under high pressure, enhancing their protective capabilities. However, temperature plays a crucial role. At extreme temperatures, synthetic oils, with their higher viscosity index, may offer better performance. Interflon leverages both mineral and synthetic (base) oils in its lubricant formulations, selecting the most suitable option for each application and operating environment. Our unique MicPol® technology, which incorporates polarized and micronized particles and a specialized bonding bridge, further elevates performance. This innovative technology ensures that whether a lubricant is mineral, synthetic, or semi-synthetic, it consistently delivers exceptional results. Understanding the relationship between Viscosity Index (VI) and temperature 🌡️ The Viscosity Index (VI) is a key indicator of how a lubricant's viscosity changes with temperature. A higher VI means the lubricant maintains a stable viscosity across a wide range of temperatures, ensuring consistent performance. For example, lubricants with a low VI (e.g., 80) show a significant decrease in viscosity as temperature rises, while those with a high VI (e.g., 140) remain relatively stable. This stability is crucial for applications exposed to varying temperatures, such as outdoor machinery or processes with fluctuating conditions. 💡 Understanding the VI helps in selecting the right lubricant for optimal efficiency and longevity of your equipment: https://lnkd.in/efhrVvB9 ✉ info@interflon.com #Interflon #IndustrialLubrication #Lubricants #Viscosity #ViscosityIndex
