✨ As we wrap up the academic year, students from the Advanced Master's in International Children's Rights had an incredible opportunity to visit the Permanent Bureau of the HCCH - Hague Conference on Private International Law. 📚 Each year, the course "Child and Family in Private International Law" benefits from the proximity to The Hague, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the HCCH Children's Conventions through this unique visit. It's a wonderful experience that brings theory to life and enhances their grasp of the global impact of the Hague Conventions. A huge thank you to HCCH for the long-standing partnership and for making this experience so meaningful! 🙌 🎉 There's also time to connect outside the classroom! After the visit to HCCH, students and programme staff came together to share a wonderful evening, celebrating the spirit of the upcoming holiday season. 💫 These moments of connection and joy are truly cherished. Last October, Julia Preston, valedictorian of our class of 2022/2023, concluded a meaningful mission to the Philippines as part of her work with UNICEF East Asia and Pacific. Joining a UNICEF delegation alongside members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, she contributed to important discussions with key stakeholders about successes and challenges in implementing the CRC concluding observations. What’s most inspiring? The delegation made it a priority to meet with children in the region to hear directly from them about the urgent child rights issues they face. This kind of engagement embodies the commitment to amplifying the voices of children and addressing their needs in impactful ways.
