Appreciation Post! 🙏🙌 An incredible week at the esports minor for our students with 3 incredible guest speakers sharing their knowledge and experiences on the field of esports and gaming. On Tuesday we started our session with Joshua Dingjan from the House of Esports sharing his experiences on esports events and festivals. 🎮🕹️ On Thursday we continued with our second guest speaker of the week Chris Locktree Slotboom from Branchevereniging Esports Nederland (BEN) sharing his expertise on the field and his role within the esports association in the NL. 🕹️ And today, we had a pleasure to have a session from Jeroen Derwort 🎮 in Zoetermeer where we discussed gaming and game development in the country. Going back to my roots. This morning I attended the KNVB internship market in Zeist where 50 selected students had a chance to get to know KNVB a little better. Some of these students might become the interns of the near future. Director of football development Lennard van Ruiven talked about his time as an inexperienced student looking for a career in an unknown direction and three employees and an intern proceeded to talk about their daily work. Thanks to Marijn Mallant for the invitation and happy to see some Sport Studies | International Sport Management THUAS students among the attendees and more than happy to meet #sportkunde student Mitchell Pontjodikromo as well.

Professional tennis player Çağla Büyükakçay participated in the course Legal Issues in Sports, where she shared with our students her personal experience of being temporarily suspended from competition in 2021 due to a failed doping test. She provided valuable insights into the legal battle she faced and ultimately won, successfully overturning the suspension. Thank you Stefania Marassi and Cem Tinaz
