𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮 We're proud to mark the official closure of the Upper East Water Supply project in Ghana, an initiative that has transformed the lives of residents in the Upper East region, by providing safe drinking water to around 400,000 people living in Navrongo, Bolgatanga, Paga, Bongo and surrounding areas. ✔️ The project is not just about providing safe drinking water. It's also about empowering communities, particularly women and girls, who no longer have to spend hours each day fetching water from distant sources. With this time saved, they can now focus on education, economic activities, and more, driving forward gender equality and community development. ✔️ This milestone is a testament to what we can achieve when governments, the private sector, and local communities unite for a common cause. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: 🔹Construction of new water treatment plant in Tono with a total capacity of 20,500 m3/daily. 🔹Upgrade of the existing water treatment plant in Vea to a total capacity of 5,000 m3/daily. 🔹Construction of 2 new water reservoirs with a total capacity of 1,000 m3. 🔹Installation of 310 km of transmission lines. 🔹Installation of 110 km of distribution network. 🔹Installation of 15,600 household connections and 400 standpipes. A huge thank you to Ministry of Finance of Ghana, Ghana Water Company Ltd., Denys Engineers and Contractors BV, ING as co-financier, Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken and Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ghana And to Annelies De Beule, Bart Degrauwe, Fethi Can Erdem, Omar Haggag and all others who contributed to making this vision a reality and celebrated the final closing with us in the Hague. With a special nod to the personal connection of Francis Danti Kotia, Ghana's Ambassador to the Kingdom of The Netherlands, whose home region benefits from this project that started more than 10 years ago. And to our CEO a.i. Hans Docter who was Ambassador to Ghana when the project started. Here's to a future where access to safe water is no longer a challenge, but a right💧

During the European Hydrogen Week in Brussels we have partnered with Madoqua to sign an investment contract for the MadoquaPower2X project, a cutting-edge green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Portugal. ✅ This collaboration emphasizes the crucial role green hydrogen will play in achieving a fossil-free future. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲? - Phase 1 of the project is set to reduce CO2 emissions by 450,000 tonnes annually, marking a major step toward reducing Europe's dependence on fossil fuels. With an investment of €1 million in the design phase, Invest International is helping bridge the gap for this nascent industry, where high risks and costs often prevent traditional financing from stepping in. 𝗜𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁: 🔹 Madoqua’s green hydrogen facility will be built in Sines, Portugal. 🔹The 500 MW electrolyser and ammonia production with first ammonia deliveries expected by 2029. 🔹Collaboration with Power2X & Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners highlights the power of European partnerships. 🔹This project is a major step forward in scaling renewable energy solutions.
