The ITEA project 𝗕𝗜𝗠𝘆 (🇧🇪🇹🇷) demonstrated how Building information modelling (BIM) can be used and exploited beyond its normal use and how the integration of BIM with Geographic information systems (GIS) can be improved. The project created a shared space for digital representations of construction projects in their environments, enabling collaboration between multiple stakeholders within the smart city domain and paving the road for new applications. The Deep4sat43 project helps the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (Nederlandse Voedsel en Warenautoriteit - NVWA) protect pine forests using 30 cm multispectral satellite imagery. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 This week the first project review of the ITEA project 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 (🇦🇹🇫🇷🇩🇪🇭🇺🇪🇸🇸🇪) took place: Achieving the European Climate Law's ambitious goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality by 2050 requires enhanced tools and standards to optimise large-scale systems for energy efficiency. The OpenSCALING project improves widely used open tools and standards (Modelica, FMI, eFMI, and SSP) for system modeling and simulation, making them faster and smarter with the help of machine learning. 𝗔𝗜-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 This week the final project review of the Eureka Clusters AI Call 2020 project 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (🇫🇮🇳🇱) took place:   Molecular and Atomic Spectroscopy technology analyses tiny structures called molecules and atoms. This technology is essential in various fields like chemistry, medicine and environmental services. 🔬 The Spectralligence project uses advanced technologies, including AI and deep learning, to improve data analysis across three key areas: medical imaging (MRI scans), gamma-ray spectroscopy for detecting substances in scanned objects, and optical spectroscopy for identifying threats such as explosives. 🇨🇦 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of Canada’s participation in ITEA; in that time, more than 70 Canadian partners have participated in over 30 projects valued at approximately 51.4 million euros of investment.
