What a fantastic start to our first-ever Global Management Trainee Program – a journey designed to brew the next generation of business leaders! 🌟 After engaging with nearly 5,000 candidates, we welcomed 24 outstanding finalists this week to our Amsterdam HQ for an onsite assessment. The immersive experience began with an evening of networking and cocktails, where our candidates connected with each other, Executive Committee members and senior leaders from our markets around the world. The following day was packed with challenges, reflections and inspiring sessions from our leadership team, all fuelled by a rich coffee experience. ☕ In September, our selected trainees will embark on a year-long international journey of business learning and results-driven growth. We are announcing some key changes within our Executive Committee. After bringing years of incredible experience and dedication to JDE Peet's, Scott Gray has decided to step down to reunite with his family in the United States. Scott’s contributions have been invaluable, and we are sad to see him leave. Until his departure, Scott will continue to collaborate closely with Rafael Oliveira, CEO, to onboard his successor. In alignment with the incoming CFO’s current employer, we will share details about this appointment during our FY results on 26 February. Secondly, we are excited to announce the appointment of Ricard Barri Valentines as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and new member of the Executive Committee. Ricard takes over from Fiona Hughes, who will assume the role of General Manager Australia. Just released: JDE Peet’s Joins the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index! 🌍🌱 The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) now includes JDE Peet’s, recognising our progress and ongoing commitment to responsible business practices and sustainability. The DSJI World is one of the most renowned sustainability benchmarks since its inception in 1999. This recognition follows our steady progress, including an increase in our Corporate Sustainability Assessment score from 62 to 67. ✨ Highlights: · We are the only European food company included in the DJSI World. · In the DJSI Europe Index, we achieved the highest score (67) among the food companies included. Exciting news from our Wuxi site in China, where we’ve completed our largest solar panel project yet! This initiative is part of JDE Peet’s’ Common Grounds programme, driving meaningful action to reduce our environmental impact. Here’s why this matters: ✅ 2.000 megawatts of green energy generated every year ✅ 1.2 kilotons of CO2 emissions eliminated annually ✅ Solar panels spanning 14,700 square meters of roof space ✅ Supplying around 20% of the plant’s annual power needs This initiative represents another step in our commitment to sustainability, aligning with our goal to minimise our carbon footprint and strive towards a planet-positive future.
