ABOUT THE KITS FOR THE WORLD’S SUSTAINABILITY OBJECTIVES Kits for the World is dedicated to helping projects that help people in need. Our football kit donations are free for these NGO’S & the Charities that use the power of football for the betterment of local projects in local communities. By working with these organisations who have embraced the fundamental principles of the sustainable development goals we hope to make a difference helping these projects engage and inspire disadvantaged communities and youth around the world. Kits for the World is a link in the chain of development through football. We play a small but important roll in helping these projects who do the most important work on the front line daily. Merchandise is one of the main contributors to a club’s carbon footprint Back in 2010 the concept of Kits for the World was born. The concept of Kits for the World has grown with local grassroots clubs and some forward thinking professional clubs. They all could see the value of helping the projects we support with football kit donations. Our objectives when we give a football kit donation to a project MUST fit within the sustainable development goals across the range of key objectives. These objectives range from the 17 interlinked global goals designed to be the foundation on which to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. Kits for the World also plays a part in the interlinked global goals. Firstly by one of our core objectives namely playing a part in the post-consumer garment collection, reuse, and recycling is a critical component of a circular economy plan. Secondly as from 2022 we are actively looking to plant a kits for the world kit donation tree at the clubs who donate to kits for the world. This helps to offset our logistical impact. We are also actively looking for international partners who are active in the regions where we send our donated kits to who plant trees. Moving forward It is our intention that new NGO’s who are part of the kits for the world network incorporate an educational fact pack to raise awareness of the benefits of planting a tree locally. #football #sustainability #GreenSports #SustainableAthlete LIVERPOOL FC FOUNDATION Ben Latty Rishi Jain Terri Ritchie Xander Czaikowski #football4good #sdgs2030 #johancruyfffoundation #fgrfc_official #pumafootball #footballforhope #genderequity #adidasfootball #nikefootball

I spoke to ITV West Country about the progress we’re making to build Eco Park and the FGR training ground - it’s not just about football, it’s about green jobs too. It feels like a constant battle but we’re getting there and it’s worth the fight. Some good news: we’ve just won permission to put a tent up at our training ground - on appeal. OK, it’s a marquee actually (a big tent) but what is going on with Stroud District Council planners? They need to take a good, long look at themselves and their decision-making - it’s not just FGR that has suffered from ridiculous decisions, people across the district are frustrated, and progress is held back due to an often high-handed approach, divorced from the realities of life, in the name of “conservation”. We need better.

How Climate-Conscious Fans Are Changing the Game in Football Football clubs are under increasing pressure to reduce their environmental impact as a younger generation of fans takes action on sustainability, according to a survey from carbon accounting company Carbon Responsible. 64 % of fans over 55 said they would take no action if their club performed poorly on sustainability and social responsibility, but only 12 percent of Gen Z fans and 15 per cent of millennial fans said the same. Among younger fans (aged 16 to 24), popular options for taking action include attending fewer matches, spending less money on soccer-related activities and purchases, and joining an online campaign to push for sustainability improvements 👉 66 % of respondents think more work should be done to improve sustainability in soccer 👉 65 % think clubs could make it easier for fans to behave sustainably 👉 64 % believe more focus should be on the sustainability credentials of club owners and sponsors 👉 67 % think soccer governing bodies should consider the climate impact of player travel when designing the fixture schedule When it comes to specific changes, the youngest fans prioritise long-term net zero goals and older fans strongly favour short-term improvements like reducing plastic consumption Context: The survey highlights a generational divide on climate concerns among UK soccer fans, with the vast majority of millennial and Gen Z supporters saying they would take action if their club fell short on sustainability. While Carbon Responsible notes that sustainability has been steadily rising up the agenda for football clubs and tournaments in the last few years, with Uefa using five per cent of its Euro 2024 budget to tackle greenhouse gas emissions and six of the 20 Premier League clubs setting net zero targets, the company added that fans are not yet satisfied with environmental efforts in the sport. #SustainabilityInFootball #ClimateActionInSports #GenZFans #EcoFriendlyFootball #FootballForFuture #ClimateAction #ClimateChange #Sustainability #ClimateCrisis #Environment #ClimateJustice #GlobalWarming #ClimateEmergency #SaveThePlanet #EcoFriendly #ZeroWaste #SustainableLiving #GoGreen #Football #Soccer

Why Reuse First is key: Building a Truly Circular Economy in Football Apparel The fast-paced turnover of football kits each season has made apparel a major contributor to clubs’ carbon footprints. Shockingly, UEFA reports that up to 60% of team kits are discarded annually. Reuse—extending the life of these garments for their original purpose—must be the first step in achieving true sustainability. Unlike recycling, reuse consumes less energy, retains material value, and aligns seamlessly with circular economy principles. Initiatives like Kits for the World’s kit library showcase how reused kits can empower communities, reduce waste, and inspire meaningful change. As fans demand sustainable action from clubs, reuse offers a powerful solution to protect the planet while preserving the passion of the sport. Together, let’s make every kit count—for the game and the environment. #SustainabilityInSports #CircularEconomy #FootballApparel #ReuseBeforeRecycle #SustainableFashion #EnvironmentalImpact #FootballForChange #EcoFriendlyKits #FansForThePlanet #UpcyclingIdeas
