As we near the start of Le Guess Who? 2024, we’d like to share the behind-the-scenes struggles and frustrations we are experiencing in trying to obtain visas for the artists we’ve invited to Utrecht. At Le Guess Who?, our focus and dedication has long been on developing a diverse and inclusive program, also through extensive guest curation that deepens our ties to international artists. Revealing the full program for U? 2024. The freely accessible city program of Le Guess Who? celebrates local and creative communities based in the Netherlands, with a strong focus on Utrecht. From 8-10 November 2024, U? returns for its 4th edition. The 2024 program features a festival playground in the Cartesius area on Saturday, 9 November + many other activities and events throughout Utrecht, including music, workshops, films, exhibitions, shared meals, discussions, and much more. Revealing the full line-up for Le Guess Who? 2024, the 17th edition of our Celebration of Sound, featuring lots of artists who are joining our general line-up and two special projects: Hannah Elsisi presents Chromesthesia: a 13-hour durational performance that tracks Afro-diasporic rhythms and explores the history that undergirds Afro-descendant electronic music. Sounds of Places: a residency-based sound gathering, initiated by Radio Alhara and Wonder Cabinet, that took place in 2024 in the Cremisan Valley in Palestine. Now these artists present their works at LGW24. Earlier, we announced Arooj Aftab, Bo Ningen, Crystallmess, DARKSIDE, Mabe Fratti and Touching Bass as guest curators for #LGW24. 📻 Le Guess Who? and COSMOS, our worldwide music community, are excited to announce a new partnership with Berlin-based community radio Refuge Worldwide. During #LGW24, COSMOS & Refuge Worldwide will take over Pandora Foyer, a radio booth and performance space in our main venue, TivoliVredenburg. Here they will invite artists from the line-up - and some special guests - for in-depth conversations, dance floor-ready DJ sets, readings, and more. 📡 Le Guess Who? reveals the three The Independent Movement for Electronic Scenes-affiliated festivals who are co-curating at the 2024 festival edition in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Le Guess Who? exists to promote sounds that are often overlooked, and to platform fresh perspectives on what is possible in music. Together with Reworks (GR), Semibreve (PT) & Unsound Festival (PL), we co-curates five artists. More info soon! TIMES is a cooperative project that brings together 10 European festivals to create original performances that combine music and visual arts. As well as the co-curation of artists and the project’s original performances, TIMES aims to support, promote, and improve diversity and sustainability within the music sector. 📸 by Juri Hiensch

Le Guess Who? exists to bring people together through music and art. U?, its freely accessible city program, is dedicated to celebrating creativity in all its diversity. This year, we are collaborating with five different NL-based #community curators who will highlight their communities and creativity at U? 2024. 〰 YUMNA 〰 Bibi Bannink 〰 Insan Larasati 〰 Raziyah Heath 〰 Maardewân U? aims to collaborate intensively with a diverse selection of creative partners from Utrecht and beyond. We’re facilitating new experiences, connections, conversations and experiments with and between communities. Therefore, part of the U? program will be made by community curators: upcoming and eager, NL-based, curators who are deeply connected to their scene and community.

🪐 COSMOS, the ever-growing music community of Le Guess Who?, will once again collaborate with eight different Embassies from across the globe. Through films, interviews, performances and live radio, these Embassies give an insight into their respective local music scenes.
