✨ Last week QuTech hosted the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO)(RVO). Together with other quantum companies, we had the opportunity to meet RVO director Abdeluheb Choho. We shared with the delegation how OrangeQS builds test equipment for quantum chips and what our role is in several projects in the world-leading Delft quantum ecosystem. 💡 At OrangeQS, we build high-throughput test equipment for quantum chips. These are among the world’s largest and most complex quantum systems. 𝐃𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧 In Zuid-Holland wordt veel onderzoek gedaan op het gebied van quantumtechnologie. Zo kijkt Orange Quantum Systems (OrangeQS), samen met Leiden Cryogenics en Delft Circuits, naar de mogelijkheden van quantumchips. Dit zijn de bouwstenen van een quantumcomputer. Dankzij deze chips kan een quantumcomputer taken sneller en preciezer verwerken dan een normale computer. Anna Shchygol werkt voor Orange Quantum Systems en begeleidt het samenwerkingsproject ‘Quaracter’ dat met subsidie van de provincie Zuid-Holland kon worden opgezet. Anna: “Een quantumcomputer is in staat om berekeningen te doen die een gewone computer niet kan. Dus het is denkbaar dat zo’n apparaat in de toekomst wordt gebruikt voor het ontdekken van nieuwe medicatie of om bijvoorbeeld een manier te vinden om de CO2-uitstoot af te vangen uit de atmosfeer.” Het hele interview lezen?
