LUMO Labs was proud to have Sabine Schoorl represent us and our shared interest in #UrbanInnovation at the Global Mobility Call in 📍 Madrid. Sabine participated in a dynamic panel alongside experts like Bas Boorsma, Honorata Grzesikowska and Kelly Rodgers, PhD. The session focused on shaping the future of cities and mobility. Here are some of the key takeaways from the discussion: 🏙 We need to create urban environments that focus on #sustainability, but just as important, they need to be inclusive, innovative and resilient. ✨ Use scalable, human-centered innovations to transform how we move and live in cities.  🤝 We need strong (and bold!) collaboration between policymakers, innovators and investors to build integrated, equitable systems.  🚫 There are some barriers to progress, including cultural resistance to shared mobility, fragmented systems and the challenges of aligning public and private stakeholders. "I remain optimistic, thanks to the incredible tools already emerging—such as #AI-driven analytics, renewable energy solutions and inclusive urban design practices that ensure mobility serves all members of society," says Sabine about overcoming these challenges. Congratulations to Protyon! The team received €1.8 million in funding for its DELPHI Project which aims to advance personalized oncology. 🎉💸 "The DELPHI project seeks to revolutionize lung cancer treatment through cutting-edge molecular modeling and computational analysis. Building on established collaborations between UMCG, the University of Groningen, and the local SME Health-Ecore, Protyon aims to deliver personalized treatment recommendations by utilizing molecular fingerprints and advanced tools to create detailed 3D models of cancer-driving proteins in patients," says the Protyon team. The team went on to say that lung cancer remains the most common type of cancer globally and the leading cause of cancer-related mortality. There are 1.8 1.8 million deaths annually. The funding comes from the Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland (SNN) and Just Transition Fund.
