Our journey began in 1904, right in the heart of Dordrecht. Situated along one of Europe's busiest rivers, we initially assisted ships with all kind of repair works. However, it wasn't long before a shipyard building tugs approached Mampaey with a challenge. To design and manufacture a towing hook to ensure a safe towing of ships and barges. This request sparked the beginning of our legacy. Mampaey not only crafted the renowned towing hooks but also pioneered the development of mooring hooks in 1950, addressing the frequent accidents in oil ports. Fast-forward to the present. Mampaey collaborates with a team of over 50 colleagues globally, boasting offices in the Netherlands, Singapore, China, and Brazil. 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗵𝘁 On January 30th, more than 600 students from pre-vocational secondary schools in Dordrecht had the opportunity to explore local businesses in the 𝗞𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗭𝗲𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 area. As part of this initiative, we were proud to open our doors and give students an exclusive look behind the scenes.   During their visit, students got to see our operations up close, step into our warehouse and learn more about the innovative and safe solutions we develop for the maritime industry. It was a great opportunity to inspire the next generation and showcase the career possibilities within our field.   A special thanks to the Ondernemersfonds Krabbepolder Zeehaven for making this initiative possible. We were happy to contribute and look forward to welcoming more students in the future.

Part of the Berthing Approach System is the LED Display. This large display provides data of interest for berthing services to pilots and ship crew. The LED powered digits are clearly visible up to 300 meters during all weather conditions, day and night. The viewing angle both horizontally and vertically is 120 degrees. The LED display shows the following data: 🔹 Distance 🔹 Approaching speed 🔹 Speed Alarms 🔹 Berthing Angle The LED digits are maintenance free and have a long lifetime. The Large Led Display shows mooring and environmental information, such as data from the weather station and wave, tide & current sensor, next to drift off and fender compression during mooring. The traffic lights are integrated in the large LED display and provide warning alarms. The large LED display is suitable for placing at zone 1. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of safety and innovation in the maritime sector.
