Our journey began in 1904, right in the heart of Dordrecht. Situated along one of Europe's busiest rivers, we initially assisted ships with all kind of repair works. However, it wasn't long before a shipyard building tugs approached Mampaey with a challenge. To design and manufacture a towing hook to ensure a safe towing of ships and barges. This request sparked the beginning of our legacy. Mampaey not only crafted the renowned towing hooks but also pioneered the development of mooring hooks in 1950, addressing the frequent accidents in oil ports. Fast-forward to the present. Mampaey collaborates with a team of over 50 colleagues globally, boasting offices in the Netherlands, Singapore, China, and Brazil. Before and after the berthing process, the 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 shows vital mooring information, such as distance, speed and angle of the approaching vessel. It is high quality handling data, tuned to achieve the best possible accuracy at the fastest speed. After the vessel is moored and in contact with the fenders, the system monitors the fender deflection & drift-off. 📍 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱   Exciting news to share about Poland. The first ship was unloaded for the first time on the new quay in Poland. Hereby we would like to tell you more about the complete system that we delivered: 🔹 Fourteen sets of Quick Release Mooring Hooks with Integral capstans Each individual hook having a Safe Working Load of 100 tons. Six out of the fourteen sets have a Special swiveling support, specially adapted for this project.  Furthermore the iMoor system included: - Electric Remote Control System - Mooring Load Monitoring System - Berthing Approach System - Environmental Monitoring System And not to forget our : 🔹 Ship-to-Shore Link System, also known as our iMSL next generation LNG Safety Communication Link.
