  • Join me on May 1st for a free introduction to mindfulness. 🧘♀️ Do you find yourself constantly juggling tasks, with little time to pause and rejuvenate? Are you intrigued by the concepts of mindfulness and meditation, but unsure of how they can truly benefit you in both your personal and professional endeavours? In this session, we'll delve into what mindfulness truly entails and how integrating it into our lives can lead to greater fulfilment and reduced stress. Being Grounded. 🏔 I quite often hear the question: "How has meditation impacted your life?" One of the main benefits I have noticed over these past years of daily practice and retreats is that it is a lot easier for me to stay grounded even in emotionally stressful situations. Being grounded is especially needed in these challenging moments, when it is a lot more difficult than in moments of serenity and peace. So how can you stay grounded when life decided to be an emotional rollercoaster again? Take a breath, observe your bodily sensations, tune into your feet making contact with the floor. And yes, it is as simple as that. Even though this may be very difficult in the beginning, the more you practice, the more you will feel the benefits and can stay calm. Of course, there are many different techniques and ways to stay grounded, and I would love to bring them closer to you through a workshop or course. Interested? Send me a PM and maybe see you very soon. ☀ All the best, Clemens

What is meditation? (Part 2) 🧘♀️ In my last post, I wrote that meditation is the "non-judgmental observation of the inner and outer world". And while this definition is correct, there are also many other ways to describe meditation. I encountered one of those descriptions during my meditation teacher training in India, and here it is: Meditation is the reintegration of body and mind. So what does that mean, you may ask. Who here has not experienced the following situation: I am in the middle of an activity (may it be a walk, a meeting or sports) and thoughts about food start coming up. "What am I going to eat tonight? Should I have food with a friend? Which friend should I invite for dinner? Where and when shall I go to do my groceries?" In the evening we are finally having our dinner (maybe with a friend or alone) and again thoughts come up. This time, they are not concerned with our meal, though, but with planning for the next day or reminiscing the past. "What is my plan for tomorrow? How should I approach this meeting? Person x said this and that, this was so mean..." Meditation means to bring our physical and mental location together and to fully be aware of where we are, how our body moves and what we are doing. This means that while we are at work, we are present with our work. While we are walking, we are aware of each step and while we are doing sports, we notice our muscles moving, contracting and expanding. Thus, meditation is the reintegration of body and mind. Curious to learn more or experience meditation first-hand? I'd love to share more in a course or workshop. Until then, have a wonderful and peaceful day ☀ All the best, Clemens
