We combined the expertise of Ponooc and Yard Energy to create a new fund focused on supporting startups driving the decarbonisation of power, transport, and buildings. 🚀 New investments: We reviewed hundreds of business plans and ultimately, we proudly welcomed Samara, Sunswap and WATTALPS to our portfolio—companies shaping the future of energy with innovative solutions. 💪 Trust in our mission: After our first close in December 2023 (€41.5M), we raised over €60M during the year from high-net-worth individuals, family offices, Invest-NL (€10M), and the European Investment Fund (EIF)(€35M). Exciting milestone for Move Energy 👏 We are proud to announce a €35 million commitment from the European Investment Fund (EIF) to our Move Energy Fund I, bringing total commitments to above €100 million! This milestone is a significant step in our mission to support transformative European ventures decarbonising power, transport, and buildings. We want to thank Céline Lévy and Florian Chilla and the whole European Investment Fund (EIF) team for their trust and partnership. This commitment, backed by the InvestEU initiative, validates our vision and fuels our efforts to accelerate the energy transition. To date, we’ve invested in five innovative companies, and with the support of over 30 investors, including cornerstone investor PON HOLDINGS BV, we’re on track for our final close by the end of Q1 2025 with a hard cap of €150 million. Today marks the beginning of zero-emission transport refrigeration at scale. Our battery and solar-powered refrigeration unit, Endurance, has now joined the DFDS fleet, with ten units being delivered — demonstrating that sustainable cold chain logistics is both viable and commercially beneficial. It's the culmination of five years of engineering innovation, extensive real-world trials, and collaboration with industry leaders. Each Endurance unit will eliminate thousands of litres of diesel usage annually and tonnes of CO2 while matching the performance operators expect. From our first prototype to today's production units, we've shown that the future of transport refrigeration doesn't require compromise between sustainability and capability.
