Why is avoiding track welding or open circuit repairs important? ✅ Benefits: - Improved reliability with flawless circuitry. - Enhanced security—no repairs means no additional risks. ⚠️ Risks of not addressing this: - Poor repairs can lead to open circuits being delivered. - Even “good” repairs may fail under load conditions (e.g., vibration), which could increase the risk of field failures. Watch our video to learn more about this topic: https://lnkd.in/eHnaC4hc #ncabgroup #NCAB #PrintedCircuitBoard #PCB #OpenCircuitRepair #TrackWelding

Does thicker copper increase the cost of a PCB? 💸 Absolutely! Copper is a significant cost factor when it comes to PCBs. The thicker the copper, the higher the price—mainly because copper itself is an expensive material. Additionally, thicker copper adds weight, which can lead to increased shipping costs. 🚚 Want to dive deeper into what influences the cost of your PCBs? Check out our comprehensive PCB Cost Drivers tool here: https://lnkd.in/devVbk9g #Ncab #NcabGroup #PrintedCircuitBoard #copper #PcbCostDrivers #PcbCopper

Why should you avoid placing holes too close to SMD pads? ⚠️ Placing holes too near to SMD pads can lead to a number of issues. The drill and soldermask registration can cause the hole to remain partially open, which may result in solder paste evacuation during reflow. This increases the risk of contamination or even soldermask spilling onto the SMD area. 🛠️ We recommend maintaining at least a 0.40mm distance between the SMD area and holes in the same net to avoid these issues. If you found this tip helpful, be sure to check out our Design Tips Tool, where we offer more expert design suggestions like this one. 💡 💻 Download here: https://lnkd.in/eGhw4YxT #Ncab #NcabGroup #PrintedCircuitBoard #PCBDesign #DesignTips #EngineeringAdvice #SMD #SmdPad
