WatchPlant EU Project develops sensors that exploit plants' natural responses to environmental changes, enabling the monitoring of their surroundings. When we watched the new WatchPlant video by the ITE, we realized why the partners in this project use our devices. They need electrochemistry in their labs, greenhouses, and fields. Find bacteria before they become a problem. Murali Mohan Jaligam et al. from the Okinawa Institute of Technology (OIST) have recently published a paper about the battle against bacterial contamination and how to fight it. Once bacteria form a dense biofilm, they are hard to kill or remove. A detection system to monitor bacterial activity has been developed using a sensor combined with PalmSens' Sensit BT.
