Reflecting on an amazing 2024 – thank you for being part of it! 🌍✨ As 2024 comes to a close, we at Peek want to take a moment to reflect on an incredible year and express our heartfelt gratitude to our amazing customers, partners, and supporters. Here are just a few highlights: 🚀 Big milestones: February marked the launch of Peek 4.0 – a complete redesign that makes creating interactive excursions even more seamless and engaging (and many more new features after that, like custom maps!) 🌟 New faces: We welcomed Jack to our team as a Trip Designer. His expertise has been a fantastic addition! 🌍 Expanding horizons: This year brought exciting new pilot projects and customers, both in The Netherlands and abroad, helping us bring outdoor learning to more people than ever before. ✈️ International adventures: Anton traveled to France and Italy to assist in developing excursions on location – hands-on support that makes all the difference. 📢 Events that inspired us: We had the privilege of attending impactful gatherings like the SURF Onderwijsdagen, connecting with so many passionate individuals. 🎉 Community spirit: In June, we hosted Peek Day, where we gathered with users to share ideas, insights, and inspiration for the future. "Can we use the 'Algemene Hoogtekaart Nederland' in the Peek app?" Yes you can ➡ Last june, students from Wageningen University & Research tested a new app feature: a custom map for their excursion. The professor requested a map showcasing the AHN (‘Algemene Hoogtekaart Nederland’: Dutch height model). Since it has recently become possible in Peek to show customized maps per excursion, this was a perfect test case.

At Peek, we believe that the best ideas come from being in nature. Our passion for the outdoors is woven into everything we do. Whether it’s Teun and Gerwald on their mountainbikes or Vincent and Eric hitting the running trails, the team is always out exploring the world around us. This is why we’re so excited to help others experience and learn about nature through the Peek app. By creating fun, interactive excursions, we encourage everyone to get outside, discover new landscapes, and engage in meaningful conversations about the environment. As we say in Dutch, "Buiten is altijd beter" (Outside is always better)!

We’re excited to welcome three new members to the Peek community! 🤝 The Rijksuniversiteit Groningen has signed a license to bring Peek to the Faculty of Spatial Sciences for the upcoming year. 🙏 In New Zealand, we’ve just completed a successful pilot with Lincoln University (NZ), 🙌 ...and we’re gearing up for another pilot with Åbo Akademi University in Finland in the coming months. Welcome aboard!
