🫘👏🏻 Vepa and Koffiebranderij Peeze coffee roasters are transforming simple coffee bags into beautiful, sustainable furniture! What at first glance might seem like an unusual collaboration, it turns out to be a circular success story 😊 Peeze and Vepa have joined forces to give discarded hessian #coffee bags a second life in the form of stylish #chairs and #barstools. The chairs and bar stools can be seen at the ORGATEC in Cologne from today! Peeze, an Arnhem coffee brand known for its honest and high-quality coffee, receives its coffee beans in sturdy jute bags from sustainable plantations and cooperatives around the world. With the large number of beans roasted annually, there is a considerable amount of jute. This organic residual stream now forms a valuable byproduct material for some new furniture for Vepa. 🫘♻️The natural properties of the hessian ensure that each chair and stool has its own look, with no piece being the same. Erik Luisman, Sustainability & Business Development at Vepa: “Vepa’s original #Hemp chair has been successfully produced for several years. Thanks to the unique combination of hemp mats and #organic resin from PLANTICS B.V. , this design offers endless possibilities. By replacing the outer layer of hemp with a jute coffee bag, including original printing, the chair gets an even more striking character. By doing so, the completely biological and circular aspect will be maintained! ” The collaboration between Vepa and Peeze fits perfectly with the shared ambition to contribute to a #wastefree world. Wat een gave keuken voor Vink Bouw, met een nieuwe mijlpaal in circulaire keukens! Want de oude keuken in het kantoor van Vink was op, maar de spoelbak niet. Hij was flink gekrast en al lang in gebruik, dat zag je. Maar het staal was nog prima. Kon hij geen tweede leven krijgen? En voor het eerst in Nederland bleek: ja, het kan wel 🤩 Reginox nam hun oude spoelbak terug en haalde hem door de productiestraat. Ontdeuken, polijsten, en de spoelbak is nu als nieuw. Glimmend en mooi! Veel duurzamer, want waarom zou je vervangen wat nog werkt? Zeker staal, want omsmelten doe je met veel hitte en CO2! 🏭🔥 Dus chapeau Reginox, Melvin Wildeboer Schut en Vink Bouw! Jullie hebben een primeur in Nederland: een gerefurbishte spoelbak. En wij voegden er NoWa-keukenkasten aan toe, van hennepvezels en plantaardige biohars. Hennep groeit snel terug (duurzaam!) en wat maakt PLANTICS B.V. er mooie panelen van! Het keukenblad is van Sustonable, dat wij ook voor het eerst toepassen. Gemaakt van oude PET-flessen en steenafval. Een supergaaf project, ook omdat Vink Bouw zelf duurzaam bouwt. Dus wilden ze veel hergebruik en hergroeibare materialen. Zo werken wij ook graag, dus het klikte enorm met Ernst Bouma, Evert-Jan Laban en Dick Haak 🤩 Ook zo’n duurzame keuken voor op kantoor?
