𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚'𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 🌊🌏 South Korea has set an ambitious target of 14.3 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030, but as of the end of 2023, only 142.1 MW has been installed which is just 1% of the goal. What is holding back progress and what needs to change to accelerate the transition?    To answer this, we have identified eight key challenges hindering offshore wind development in South Korea. Commissioned by the Embassy and Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Australia and made possible with support from Holland Home of Wind Energy. This report provides key insights into market developments, regulatory landscapes, and opportunities shaping the future of offshore wind in Australia.   Pondera, part of Royal HaskoningDHV, is proud to collaborate on this important project. This study is a great example of how we combine our strengths to drive the energy transition forward. To take the conversation further, we were invited to present on the webinar organized by Holland Home of Wind Energy to discuss the report’s findings followed by a Q&A.
