24-Inch Gas Line in Rouans, France — Steering Solutions in Challenging Terrain Tracking used: ParaTrack 2 + AC Beacon Location: Rouans, France Distance: 354.29 m (1162 ft) Depth: 16 m (52 ft) Horizontal Curve: 16 degrees Entry Angle: 10 Exit Angle: 10 Ground: Rocky entrance (50m) & sand Pipeline: 24” steel Technique: #MudMotor & Jetting Faced a challenging tricky crossing with a tight combined radius in the lovely countryside in the North-West of France. There was a mixture of hard formation at the beginning of the crossing and soft ground. Swapping from a mud motor to a jetting assembly was necessary to adapt to the softer conditions. The drilling design included a horizontal curve which started just in front of a river that spanned a width of 50m. A solenoid was set up and the AC #Beacon was utilised to track the probe position. Prioritizing mud returns and accurate drilling, are crucial for a successful project to be completed with the desired outcome & on schedule. Prime GyroTrack Survey in Mexico — First ever post pipeline survey performed in Mexico In San Juan del Río, Querétaro, Mexico, GyroTrack was used to map a 323 meters (1,059.7 feet) 36" diameter steel gas pipeline. It is a section of the 420km TVDR gas pipeline that starts in Tula, state of Hidalgo, and finishes in Villa de Reyes, state of San Luis Potosí. Prime Horizontal offers GyroTrack pipeline mapping services, utilizing advanced gyroscope technology for post-installation mapping services worldwide.
