Congratulations to this great group of participants who attended our training programme on international protocol, strategic networking and high-level events during the past three days in the stylish environment of The College Hotel in Amsterdam. It was intimate. Engaging. About royal protocol. And military leadership. Diplomatic best practices. Corporate relations. Seating struggles. Flag issues. Multilateral negotiations. Current geopolitical challenges. Spouses programmes. Precedence with a purpose. Business etiquette. Intercultural communication. Self-awareness. Guest speakers Karel van Oosterom and Conny Wenting. Social media. Security. Public relations. Gift giving. Official pictures. Movements & motorcades. Vision, mission and goals to achieve. The spirit of the Invictus Games. One year on the Security Council. A Special Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh. Or the tensions surrounding an international commemoration. From small to massive. Planting a seed. Or two. Or more. Glad to be back here next year. Looking forward to welcoming new participants again on 3, 4 and 5 November, 2025!

During Protocol International’s open subscription training courses in Riyadh and Osaka, participants will get insights second to none! Our Protocol Consortium experts Dr. Andreja Wieser and Giovanni Criscione will share their wealth of experience in organizing mega events. Andreja has been involved in senior positions at seven Olympic and Paralympic Games, and will give us extensive insights in the “Management of International Dignitaries and VIPs at Olympic and Paralympic Games”. Together with Maryse and myself, Andreja and Giovanni will also take part in a roundtable session about a joint project we worked on: “World Economic Forum Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development, 28 - 29 April 2024, Riyadh”. The secret power of protocol and its impact on such a global meeting will be discussed, including several key lessons learned. Get inspired by all the above insights! Mid-September, Protocol International had the pleasure of providing a three-day training course for ten professionals from both sides of the Atlantic at NATO's Allied Joint Force Command in Naples, Italy. It was a great learning experience and networking opportunity for all, and we're looking forward to the next iteration in Norfolk, Virginia. Enjoy reading the latest blog of Maryse Larché Mele on her "homecoming" where her protocol journey started.

Mark Verheul and Maryse Larché Mele, as well as our distinguished guest speakers and associate partners, gladly welcome participants to truly engaging three-day training courses in Riyadh, Amsterdam, Dubai, Norfolk, and Osaka. The aim of these programmes is to provide a comprehensive understanding of international protocol, management of VVIP visits, diplomacy, negotiation techniques, intercultural dialogue, and strategic stakeholder engagement, while each module links theory to contemporary best practices. And always keeping in mind the local and regional flavours or needs. So for that reason, we’re pleased to announce our great ‘line-up’ of guest speakers! Enjoy reading Mark's latest blog! https://lnkd.in/eyAhvBaj

Lovely to be discussing "new concepts" with "old friends". Had a great visit at NATO's Allied Command Transformation today. Sorry I missed Admiral Bennett.
