The final demo of Fly-High-Five: Dura Vermeer Materieel 🏗️⚡   In the new year, we are closing the joined #innovation project of ‘Fly-High-Five’ with the last demo in a series of demo's, now with Dura Vermeer in Diemen. Here, we are both looking at how the weight of the hoist affects the energy demand, as well as the power profile of a 110 kW tower crane. It’s also a learning experience for Dura Vermeer to get to know the flywheel, as well as for us, as it provides valuable user feedback.   If you’re curious about Fly-High-Five and its results, send us a message! As we wrap up 2024, we want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and take a moment to look back on an incredible year! 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: ⚓ Successfully demonstrated our flywheel for port applications in collaboration with Rhenus Logistics, supported by Gemeente Rotterdam. 🏗️ Partnered with six construction companies to test our innovative flywheel technology across five construction sites. 🔋 Developed our first proof-of-concept hybrid energy storage solution, integrating a sodium-ion battery with our flywheel technology. 👥 Extended the QuinteQ-family by welcoming our new colleagues Can Nemlioglu, Almor Sousa and Bram Webb. 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 🚀 Launch of our first commercial flywheel lease systems under eQiP Energy. ✨ Expecting first sales of our flywheel systems for both construction and port market segments. 🔋 Development of our hybrid energy storage pilot system for the construction sector. Demo #3 of 5: De Vries en Verburg It has been a while, but we are back at it again with our third demo of the Fly High Five project, which is with De Vries en Verburg in Den Haag. Here, we are investigating the possibility of peakshaving multiple tower cranes on one flywheel system, and how this translates to our peakshaving capability for construction sites.
