Drawing on the work of eighteen authors, the publication discusses the shared role and importance of art, science and activism in the acute need for systems change, ecological restoration and climate justice. This book emphasizes the fundamental role of art as a vehicle and support structure for intersectional ecological thought. Whilst navigating imagination, worlding-possibility, science fact, social justice and climate action, the book prompts a fundamental role for art to create the blueprints for regenerative and sustainable more-than-human worlds. RADIUS is genomineerd voor de prestigieuze Gulden Feniks 2024 in de categorie Transformatie!   Het 100 jaar oude pomphuis met ondergronds waterbassin aan de voet van de Delftse watertoren is getransformeerd tot kunstcentrum RADIUS CCA. Met respect voor het rijksmonument ontwierp DP6 een sfeervolle entree en een fascinerende tentoonstellingsruimte. In het ontwerp is, naast de transformatie zelf, grote aandacht besteed aan een minimale ecologische voetafdruk voor de toegevoegde onderdelen door gebruik van biobased materialen en low-tech installaties. Deze transformatie sluit naadloos aan op de thematiek van kunstcentrum RADIUS, dat tentoonstellingen organiseert op het snijvlak van kunst en wetenschap, met de nadruk op klimaat, ecologie en de leefomgeving. Het is daarom een grote eer dat ons project voor deze award is genomineerd.   De NRP Gulden Feniks is dé nationale prijs voor renovatie en transformatie van de gebouwde omgeving. Dit jaar werden er 54 projecten ingezonden in de categorieën renovatie, transformatie en gebiedstransformatie. RADIUS is blij verheugd met de toekenning van het Mondriaan Fonds voor de aankomende vier jaar in de categorie Kunstpodium Basis! Met de structurele ondersteuning vanuit het Mondriaan Fonds in de periode 2025–2028 kunnen we onze programma’s verder uitbouwen en samenwerken met kunstenaars en andere belanghebbenden om het urgente en noodzakelijke verhaal van systeem- en klimaatverandering te vertellen aan de hand van beeldende kunst. Samen met hen kunnen we nu verder werken aan het vormgeven van de blauwdrukken voor regeneratieve en duurzame meer-dan-menselijke werelden. Het Mondriaan Fonds draagt bij aan de programma’s van 44 kunstpodia. Hierbij wil RADIUS ook de andere instellingen die ondersteund worden feliciteren en tegelijkertijd onze steun betuigen aan de instellingen die in deze ronde niet ondersteund worden. Together with them, RADIUS is dedicated to shaping the blueprints for regenerative and sustainable more-than-human worlds. The Mondriaan Fund supports the program of 44 cultural institutions in the Netherlands. RADIUS congratulates all the other institutions granted the support of the Mondriaan Fund, whilst simultaneously we wish to extend our support to the spaces who unfortunately were not funded in this round.
