On the satsearch platform you can find parts and components for any stage of a space mission. We help technology innovators across the world to procure the hardware, software, and expert services needed to keep pushing the envelope. Sometimes these requests are for entire satellites or end-to-end missions. And sometimes they're for much simpler components. But in every case we work to both help that mission team and add to our store of open, up-to-date, and exclusive supply chain knowledge available to the entire community. Here's a few market overviews we've put together for some product categories for which you don't typically see supplier data collated and discussed: > Multi-layer insulation (MLI) for satellites - https://lnkd.in/ekTCinjh > MS-certified space-grade aluminium sheet - https://lnkd.in/eKZxXd3i > Bearings for reaction wheels - https://lnkd.in/exytDSyr > Stepper motors for space - https://lnkd.in/ebRsypu3 > Thruster propellant tanks - https://lnkd.in/e4GxGQjZ Hope you find these useful! Are there any categories you're interested in?

Just published: have a read of the latest newsletter from satsearch right here: https://lnkd.in/eQybX53G. Here's a short extract: ==== Telling better stories As a case in point; Jonathan Stroud 🚀✨, in his January 7th edition of the Launchpad newsletter, argues that NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration needs to be more ambitious with the Mars Sample Return mission. He said; "The real question isn’t whether NASA can return samples—it’s whether it can do so in a way that’s faster, leaner, and more collaborative." It's worth noting that on January 8th NASA did actually announce two paths forward for the mission and has now left the decision to the next US administration. So how is your narrative shaping up for 2025? Are you sharing an engaging vision for the future - alongside the concrete steps being taken to make it a reality? We believe that this is the sort of transparency and story-telling that the industry needs. And in 2025 we're working hard to share more of these insights with the global community. ==== If you aren't yet subscribed, you can sign up for our free emails here https://lnkd.in/eqFXMUiX. You'll also receive a copy of our exclusive resource "Introduction to the space supply chain" - an insider's guide to the industry, based on our work helping more than 400 mission teams around the world source over 10,000 different components, systems, and services. Let's #BuildForEarth together!

Let's go!
2025 is in full swing and the space industry has clicked into gear nicely. But behind the myriad headlines about New Glenn, Elon Musk, Starship, the Trump administration, EU constellations, defence tech, the latest public market movements and so on . . . there’s a whole global community of teams quietly building high-quality tech to benefit Earth. And these expert engineers and visionary founders face some major challenges every day. Lack of capital, complex regulations, limited government support, and huge businesses competing for the contracts, talent, spectrum allocation, and media airtime . . . It’s not easy out there! But day in, day out, we’re working to support these innovators at every level of the supply chain. satsearch is an open solution that enables any space engineer to rapidly find the specific components, services, suppliers, and solutions they need in a single streamlined platform. Give us a try in 2025 and find out how you can accelerate your mission program in a few simple clicks. And let’s make this the best year for the industry yet! Ad astra!

Could AI robots replace human astronauts in space? "Robots are developing fast, and the case for sending humans is getting weaker all the time," says Lord Martin Rees, the UK's Astronomer Royal. "I don't think any taxpayer's money should be used to send humans into space." "The only case for sending humans [there] is as an adventure, an experience for wealthy people, and that should be funded privately," he argues.
