Material transport by helicopter 🚁 Transporting scaffolding material by helicopter is certainly not something that you get to see every day! It all took place near the historic town of Stadtoldendorf, at the ruins of Homburg Castle in the Lower Saxony district of Landkreis Holzminden 🏰! As the masonry had become porous over time, the entire castle ruin had to be renovated. In addition, a steel viewing platform was to be built on top of the ruin as part of the renovation work. The challenge of the project: transporting the scaffolding material up to the castle grounds at a height of 400 meters! Due to the steep climb to the castle ruins, the Lindner Group could not carry out the transport as usual, but managed it with the help of a helicopter. Our RINGSCAFF modular scaffolding was used to scaffold the castle ruins, as it is very easy to adapt to its round shape. Unique architectural masterpiece scaffolded with 3,700 m² of modular scaffolding 🏗️ The town hall complex in the city of Marl caused quite a stir when the project design won an international architectural competition - and Germany's first suspended high-rise buildings were built at Creiler Platz in Marl! However, only a few years after completion, the first signs of damage to the building complex became apparent, and since 2020 the building complex has been undergoing extensive refurbishment. The scaffolding contract for the two 35 and 43 metre high town hall towers was awarded to the team at Lange Gerüstbau Dienstleistungen. Around 3,700 m² of RINGSCAFF modular scaffolding was used for the project. The challenge was that the scaffolding could only be anchored to the concrete slabs, which had to be secured first with double-walled sheet metal cladding and insulation.
