The Action Agenda Cooperation in the space sector between #Bremen and Provincie Zuid-Holland started in 2019. Since then, the two regions developed a close relationship in multiple fields. ✍️We are happy to announce that we reached another milestone in our cooperation. This week the proposal ‘Lunar echo; digital twin gateway for extreme environments’ for the call HORIZON-INFRA-2024-TECH-01-04 was officially submitted. We keep our fingers crossed! “Lunar Echo aims to combine highly accurate modelling and digital twin infrastructure with state-of-the-art immersive technologies into a federated system that allows stakeholders to test relevant and realistic scenarios in a safe, accessible, and still highly accurate environment.” This proposal has been written by a big consortium (companies, knowledge institutes and European Research Infrastructure) which consists of in total 18 partners from The Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and France. In the framework of the ‘Action agenda cooperation in the space sector between Bremen and Zuid-Holland 2023-2026’ we had a fruitful workshop at Space Tech Expo Europe in November 2023 on the theme of Digitization. The ambition of targeting this Horizon call was set then. That was the starting point for building this proposal. With hard work from the growing consortium and stimulated by extra help in the field of project development and the writing process financed by the Province of Zuid-Holland and AVIASPACE Bremen e.V. we were able to accelerate the process. Special thanks to the founding fathers and the organizing team Michiel Vullings, Hauke Ernst, Laura Gibson - ten Bloemendal, Martijn Seijger, Andrei Bocin-Dumitriu and Julian Hofhans.
