𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 64 companies and (knowledge) organisations are presenting their semiconductor innovation program to Minister Beljaarts of Economic Affairs. With this program, the sector aims to strengthen the Netherlands’ strong global position in semiconductors. After all, international developments in the semiconductor industry are advancing rapidly. The program focuses on the three segments of the semiconductor value chain in which the Netherlands excels internationally: Chip Equipment Manufacturing, Chip Design, and Packaging. Within this innovation program, projects have been developed that contribute to sustainability, efficiency, and value creation. For example, chip and machine design methods can be improved to increase machine productivity and manage the growing complexity. This makes it possible to achieve more with fewer people. Additionally, the program promotes sector-wide collaboration to reduce material usage (such as PFAS) and simplify recycling.
